Pulling Products

On URBANPULL, we believe that products can solve the greatest urban necessities but the price is a serious problem for citizen access. Why are products so expensive?

We are creating a model to solve our urban problems in Latin American emergent cities. The concept is simple, it’s called Urban Pull:

When a group of people with the same necessity from an urban city solve together a problem acquiring one or more products directly from the producer usually with a cutting-edge technology.

We’ve scoured dozens of well-designed products identifying about 90 products made in North America and Europe able to solve urban problems but do not arrive in Latin American markets for its high price. Reduce the price is our main problem and the price can be reduced with the citizen power.

Amazing products from around the world

In URBANPULL we create spontaneous and temporary markets.

We negotiate deals with the makers to reduce product price, we want to take the concept of deals to the next level.

A market is a spontaneous a temporary deal-trade for an amazing product located just in your city.

A market could create an “economy of scale” in a Latinamerican city that may reduce costs per unit because of operational batch-container orders and synergies.

In URBANPULL we are trying to eliminate as much as possible the retail and the unnecessary middlemen.

The retail means between 30% and 60% of the total product price, that even though the retailer does not add material value to the product, only provides a rapid access.

Nike shoes are a great example of the incredible over-price of the product, this happens in most products worldwide. We want to eliminate as much as possible.

In URBANPULL we are trying to eliminate the uncertainty of the demand.

The product stock is a necessary evil for many supply chains but usually inventory exists because of the uncertainty of the demand.

You can buy your solution with almost a 30% of discount and if the market doesn’t reach the goal we return the total of your money.

How does it works? — When a Market is created, it is associated with a city, also a minimum number of products bulks per container and an estimated time of Deal-Trade — in URBANPULL we are based in the make to order production to eliminate the inventory of finished product and reduce the product price.

If the Deal-Trade has reached triggers the purchase and initiates the production of products just in time and sent to the market. This is a great way to have zero uncertainty of the demand.

We have a handshake if the goal is not reached the money is returned and the market will temporarily close.

In URBANPULL we are trying to eliminate as much as possible the shipping cost.

Like many forms of transportation, container shipping benefits from economies of scale in maritime shipping, transshipment and inland transportation.

The rationale of maritime container shipping companies to have larger ships becomes obvious when the benefits, in terms of lower costs per container, increase the capacity of ships. That is why all the Urban markets are in the ratio of products/containers.

In URBANPULL we are trying to bring access to real solutions.

At its core, URBANPULL is a community of citizens coming together to solve their same problems pulling products from around the world to their cities. We’re here to encourage the public to participate in a better way to make commerce.

We bring the best and greenest products to solve the big necessities of XXI cities with temporary urban markets, reducing the product price with the citizen power.

Everyone — irrespective of gender, race or income bracket — can be a part of this model. We welcome all to join us, to participate, to innovate.
